No. You have 90 days after the gas service line is installed to set the meter.
If you decide to sign up here is what generally will happen:
1. Submit a completed and signed Residential Gas Service Agreement to National Grid.
2. We will hold your Gas Service Application for new gas service until we received sufficient participation
from the neighborhood.
3. Once we have enough Gas Service Applications, we will verify all the details and will contact all to confirm
their decision to proceed.
4. We will then schedule the gas main and gas service installations and advise you of that schedule.
This will give you time to make arrangements with your plumber or heating installer.
The amount of customer commitments will determine when/if the gas lines are installed. If there is enough customer interest
to do a project, we then have to go to the town/village and apply for permits which can take some time. Once we obtain
permits, we can then schedule the job with our crews
